London Design Festival 2016: “Forest” Installations

As part of the 2016 London Design Festival Asif Khan, (who generally works with architectural and furniture design) produced a  three-part installation. The work explored architectural solutions to an urban lifestyle. Three architectural installation –  forest spaces filled with all sorts of trees and plants were positioned into the busy  city streets of Shoreditch, offering the local community a tranquil place to relax and connect with nature in this unique experience.

I really like this work, how it brings a contained amount of wildness into into an urban environment. Facilitating an area where all members of a community could come and leave behind stresses of every day life.
